After my mastectomy and reconstruction with implant , I’ve had my pressure dressings removed. I’ve now just a 15cm wound with a plaster. But the skin that was covered in sticky tape has reacted and is covered in itchy blisters! The nurse cleaned it up and removed all the glue, and I’ve applied some hydrocortisone, but it looks awful like I’ve got chicken pox! And it was so itchy last night I’m exhausted today. Still, onwards and upwards. The plastic surgery went well
Hi, I had my pressure dressings removed last week after my mastectomy and reconstruction .I had exactly the same reaction with the rash and itching . They gave me a barrier cream to use and it cleared up in a couple of days. It nearly drove me mad at first though ! Hope you’ll be ok . X
