Good morning all of you

So, this year just keeps on giving  it seems. My son has covid and I have now tested positive as well. I completed my last chemo 3 weeks ago but feel really anxious and worried about this now and how my immune system will deal with it. Can anyone give me some advice or good news? Have you had covid during treatment and how did you manage?

I am in touch with the 25 hour line but temp, although slightly raised is still ok and oxygen level very good.

Any advice would be helpful

Wendy

  • If you start struggling for breath sleep on your front , apart from that it has to run its course with supportive medication if needed. Speak to your gp if symptoms are severe or 111

after 3 weeks your body will have some level of fight.

  • 3 weeks past chemo your immune system should be almost back to normal, and from what you are saying it sounds like it is doing what it is supposed to do at the moment.

No one wants covid, but having it so soon after treatment is exactly as you said -- this year just keeps on giving!  I hope that by this time next month covid will be a distant memory and you and your family will get to have a very good Christmas. Slight smile
