Hi , could I ask for some advice please?,
Bilateral mastectomy in June & August '21. Different surgeons, different aesthetic results - left being more concave & traumatised (previously had a lumpectomy there) - right being lumpier towards my breast bone . The left 'concave' side needs additional daily physio to keep it flexible.
I've had a really bad cough over the last 7 days (PCR negative) & my 'concave' bit has been getting pretty tight & today I've noticed that scars on both side seem to have become more purple & my left side has developed quite a patch of discolouration /bruising(?) including boken veins tracking about an inch above the the scar down the side of my rib cage (approx. 5") towards my hip
Do you think it's just trauma caused through the coughing or should I get it checked out ?
Because of my awful cough I doubt the GP will want me in the surgery & I'm really reluctant to go & see the breast care nurses who are so overloaded with new patients & also won't want me near the place.
Thanks
Hi, if it were me I would want it to be checked out I must admit, just in case there is anything to ease it. Best of luck
Hi, thanks for the support. I emailed the GP for a phone consult. He's put me on antibiotics yesterday so hopefully onwards & upwards! xx
