Hi everyone, I'm going tomorrow to have a CT scan for marking up for radiotherapy, I'm so afraid of scanning machines though iv never had a CT scan before, can anyone tell me if all of my face will be inside the machine,
I'm sorry to read about your fears of scanning machines. Did you have a CT scan when you had your original diagnostic tests?
I had one done & went in head first, it was a large tunnel & not at all claustrophobic.
When you arrive for your appointment tomorrow explain everything to the RT team who I'm sure will be very understanding & helpful.
My CT Mapping scan is on Tuesday afternoon, the day after you.
Stay safe & take great care of yourself.

Thank you for your reply, iv never had a CT scan, I'm feeling a bit relieved now that you are telling me that it's not claustrophobic, good luck to you on Tuesday afternoon as well, take care,
Hi ladies, just a wee update, I went for my CT mapping scan today and couldn't believe how quick and easy it was, and the staff were really lovely, I think I must have been overthinking it all to much.
Whoop whoop …. So happy that it went well for you
Onwards and upwards! X
