Hi guys
i am about to start 9 weeks of weekly Paclitaxel infusions. Anybody any experience? Just finished 3 rounds of EC treatment
Hi, I noticed your post had slipped down as the site is quite busy, so my response will bump it up again. I am sorry I don't personally have the experience you are looking for, but hopefully someone will be along soon to help.
Hi Jacquie B
I had 12 weekly Paclitaxel 5 years ago. I was not ill having them, but did lose my hair, had issues with nails etc, all very doable. My friend has just finished 12 Paclitaxel after three EC and found it was much easier than the EC, and her hair started to grow back during the taxol treatment …
Everyone reacts very differently, but it is generally much better tolerated than some other chemo’s.

Hi i finished 12 weeks Paclitaxel in June and it was very doable i like to say it to everyone. No big side effect what i thought , very mild … biggest problem bad test in my mouth and blood white cells low count so self injections needed few times to top up blood count. You will be tired more after week 6-7 but i managed to work all my chemo period. I used cold cap so managed to save some of my hair as it was very dramatic to loose it. Just listen to your body and follow doctors advice. I already forgot that i had chemo very few months ago… life its back to new normal. Keep strong x
