Hi where is the best place to look for these charts please. My oncologist showed me over teams when discussing my options and I'm wanting to see the chart again to show partner. Can anyone help please

Thanks

  • Hello Strawberry4. I don't know if this NHS Predict tool is what you mean? It was used by my oncologist and you can input the details about yourself and your cancer and it estimates the likely increase in survival rates over 5 or 10 years based on various treatment options:

    breast.predict.nhs.uk/tool

Here's an overview of how the Predict Tool works:

This is different from the Oncotype test which examines your tumour tissue to determine the chance of recurrence and whether chemo would be beneficial.

It's the oncotype chart that I was shown I cant find one online the oncologist never talked about survival rates

  • The Oncotype reports are personalised based on the type of cells found in your tumour so you won't be able to find the same information online. Your medical team will have been sent your report so speak to your nurse to see if they can provide you with a copy.
