morning all. Well after being told on Tuesday that I needed a line put in as my veins are collapsing after only two rounds it was inserted yesterday. Since they did it I have lived on paracetamol and ibuprofen. Hardly any sleep and up still in pain at the place where they inserted it. Anyone else like me or am I just being soft. Thanks

    Hi HMuray2,

Unlike you I have a PICC Line fitted & had no problems.

I would suggest you contact your Specialist Cancer Nurse as soon as possible. The position of the line may need checking to relieve of your pain & discomfort.

Stay safe & take great care of yourself.

Hi. I rang this morn and I’m there tomorrow. They said it could be a few days before it improves so see how it is tomorrow as I’m due my third round of EC. I’m hoping it’s all good to go xx

  • Fingers crossed, good luck x

    Hi HMuray,

I'm pleased your line was sorted out & you had your chemo.

I'm now just over 3 weeks post-surgery & getting on well. It's been a good week for me & I'm going to post & share my good news for all the lovely ladies on this forum to read about a positive side to being on this cancer journey we are all on.

Oh that’s great to hear. We all have good weeks and pretty rough ones on this journey of cancer. It’s lovely to read about the good and positive times that other lovely ladies are going through and it’s also nice to be able to chat to people that are going in the same boat as us. Take care and I’ll be reading your posts xxx
