  • I haven’t seen anything about having four jabs   Thankyou for your prompt reply x I wonder how long we will be clinically extremely vulnerable for !!

Hi I also had a letter with a pre-booked appointment on 8th Oct to have a 3rd normal COVID injection as I was classed medically vulnerable (immuno suppressed) due to having completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy every 3rd week, the last one on 13th Sept & pre-booked for surgery on 20th Oct.

I was advised by my oncologist to have the annual flu jab & COVID top up injection prior to having surgery. Had flu jab on 30th Sept & 3rd normal COVID Injection on 8th Oct.

I've since had an email & a text to confirm eligibility for the COVID booster, which I've ignored as I had been told I would not be having a booster until 6 months after the 3rd normal COVID injection - which will be April/May 2022.

Stay safe & take great care of yourself.

  • Hi Figgy, yes I had my 3rd vaccine 3weeks ago, then go back for the booster before of just after Christmas,I got a letter from  Gov.but was expecting it anyway due to info from another web site I use for my other problem I have which puts me in the extremely vu enable category .Our GP,s were left in the dark a bit and knew nothing about the 3rd Jab for some time,I simply informed my GP and was having my 3rd jab 2 days latter.

Think Our vulnerability will be on going for a while yet.x

They are talking about a fourth jab next year for patients with specific immune system problems such as recent transplant, and some forms of blood cancers. But as far as I know that’s just speculation at the moment. It would be January 2022 even if it happens.

  • I was notified by NHS on Thursday to book a third Covid jab. First available appointment at my surgery was in three weeks. Had my flu jab three weeks ago, administered by the GP (the first I’ve seen in person for at least two years!), told me I also needed another three jabs...pneumococcal, tetanus and measles. Yikes!

Just had my flu jab - COVID booster due in a couple of weeks. But my poor daughter who’s a nursing student had COVID booster, flu, MMR, hep B and tetanus vaccines all at the same time! And all she felt was a bit tired!

  • Wow! Lots of lollipops needed after those!

  • Tests are underway for a covid nasal spray too, think it,s as a preventative. How great would that be,also seen on news about covid tablets going into circulation about now.Stay safe everyone x

  • When I went for my 3rd they went to great lengths to tell me this is a 3rd jab and not a booster and maybe I will also get a booster. I understand it's because I was immunosuppressed when I had the first 2.
