I am new to this and was wondering how long it took for treatment to get started.
Hi Penje welcome to the forum. I am assuming that you have recently been diagnosed and maybe awaiting the results of tests yet or do you already have these?
No I have been given results, and told I need surgery , but havent heard anything for eight weeks, as I have cancer in my lymph nodes aswell I assumed it might have been quicker.
There is nothing to stop you phoning to your Specialist Nurse or to you surgeon to ask if they can give you an idea of when surgery will happen.
I had chemo first and surgery was 6 weeks after it ended.
Thinking of you and wishing you a quick answer.

I will keep nagging thank you for listening, I just neede6d a moan.
Yes I’d have assumed you would’ve heard something, I was diagnosed mid May, also have lymph node involvement and started chemo beginning of July, 7 weeks after diagnosis, I’d definitely chase them, all the best of luck x
My husband had cancer in January, he had radiotherapy then chemotherapy all within first few months, but I think because I also have MS, they are not rushing so much, this could just be my paranoia though.
Despite your MS they should still be contacting you, it does seem a long time, contact them and ask for an update and an appointment. They should always keep you involved despite any other medical conditions.
I know it's just me. I rang them today but have no news to give me.
