I’m looking for recommendations for comfortable front fastening bras please. I’m told I’ll need to wear one day and night for six weeks so want to get the right ones.

thank you

  • I bought an Anita one and a Theya healthcare one. Both are comfortable. The Theya is available in zip or hook fastening but are expensive.

  • Hello. If you use the search function at top and type bra it gives you a few threads as there was one a few months ago. I bought a Royce SIlver one but once my dressings came off it cut right across a scar so was uncomfy. Never been an M&S wearer as I am large cupped but was pleasantly surprised and have a couple of theirs now - a bralette and a moulded one - both post surgery. Their sleep bra is also very comfy as I find over 4 months on I still need to wear something at night to help.

    Hi Pengu1n

I got my post surgery bras in sainsburys. They zip up the front and are comfortable to wear day and night. I wore mine for just over 6 weeks now and have healed very well, so could prb go and get measured for proper bras.... But these are just so comfy so I'm in no hurry lol

My surgeon also give me a post surgery bra that clips up the front. It was really comfy too. I priced them at £50. The ones I had bought are just as comfy and it was £21 for 2.

Hope you get sorted. Slight smile and good luck for surgery

  • I bought 2 front fastening  bras from Asda to start with.....and 4 months on I've progressed to Sainsbury's  post surgery bras ....hope this helps.

  • I’ve got the Royce Silver post surgical bra. It stretches to accommodate swelling, has anti microbial silver threads in it to keep it germ free, poppers in front and Velcro adjustable straps. I found it excellent although it was a bit tight when I was ver swollen - I undid a couple of the poppers and that sorted that problem out

  • Thank you, good to know.

  • Thank you. Worth knowing.

  • Thank you for your help. It’s so helpful to get recommendations.

Hi marks and Spencer fo them and apparently you can get the vat back on them Slight smile x

  • I found the M&S post surgery bra very comfy and I loosened the straps right off at night which made it ok for sleeping. I've now progressed, at the recommendation of my oncologist, to crop top type bras for sleeping, and even being large these are working well to protect the tenderness and swelling which I am still finding is there even a few weeks after radiotherapy.
