Just dropping in with an update on emotions

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a good day, or at least had some good moments in your day? 
I went to work today and it did take my mind off what is happening at the moment. I have done something stupid though, tonight I’ve been reading blogs about people with BC and their stories. I read one which has frightened the life out of me. I wish I never read it. It really doesn’t help with the added health anxiety I already have. Now it’s in my head I have bone cancer too. I haven’t even been told I have BC yet, appointment next Thursday. 
I guess what I’m asking is, what do you do when your in a state of worry and you can’t come out of it? Do you have any tips on calming the thoughts? I have this awful cold that is going around at the moment and it is making my body ache (not COVID) but it’s not helping to me thinking ‘is it a cold or is it bone Cancer’ Frowning2️ my brain seems to be on a worry streak that I can’t seem to control at the moment Disappointed

    It is so hard to not read anything. You are always told to “not Google” but it is human nature to do this. What stage are you at with appointments etc? Have you been referred for a mammogram or are you to see a doc/nurse about something you have found that is suspicious? 
    There are so many things that can sound like BC bbut are not so try not to worry ahead of yourself (easier said than done). A cold can make you feel down and anxious too so that won’t help. Do you have supportive family and friends round you who you can talk to? Do work know what you are  going through?
