I have recently been diagnosed and am awaiting the results of a further detour biopsy . Today I noticed my nipple is bleeding . Could this be a bad sign . Initially they said that I had caught it early but they did the further biopsy just to clarify . Has anyone else experienced this and what could it mean xx
I have a large lump which on initial biopsy appeared that they had got it early . However after feeling it the consultant asked for a deeper biopsy to test the middle of the lump to see if it is more invasive. I get these results on Thursday. Now my nipple is bleeding and am worried that this does mean it is more invasive . The lump is not near my nipple it is underneath at the bottom . Am I right to be more concerned xx
Hi, no please don't be more concerned, wait for your results and your consultant will discuss them all with you. My nipple discharge saved me, I could not feel my lump. I may not of still felt it, but now it has been removed. Best wishes xxx
Thanks, do you mind if I ask what stage and type your cancer turned out to be and if you had just the lump or a mastectomy . Don’t feel you need to share this just thought I would ask . Xx
Hi that's okay mine was idc, grade 2, total area removed 21mm with dcis. Think my lump was 11mm. So stage 1. I had a theraputic mammoplasty with reduction on other breast at same time. Healed really well, but unfortunately my area of dcis, was bigger than the scans showed so they couldn't get clear margins. So today I have seen my plastic consultant, and I have decided on masectomy with immediate reconstruction. My lymph nodes are clear. All very positive, and indicating it has been found early. For me my nipple discharge saved me. Let me know how everything goes Best wishes xxx
Hi Bustysusy, same as me, I could not feel mine and a bleeding nipple was my only symptom. Have you finished your treatment now best wishes xx
Thanks , love that . It can certainly mess with your head for sure xx
I had a bleeding nipple and it wasn’t an aggressive cancer, all it means is it has grown through a capillary vein in my understanding, it genuinely doesn’t mean it’s any worse x
