Hi everyone I had my cancer removed in June 2021 and was wondering what the normal average time is of feeling no pain in my breast ,had the radiotherapy after operations but still sore and tender . Thanks
Hello Miss piggy,
I understand that breasts take a long time (many months) to settle even after just surgery, and any later reconstructions are thought about a year or so down the line.
Radiotherapy will also have caused some internal burning as that’s what it does to zap any remaining potential problems. So that too will contribute to the pain and discomfort.
Hopefully things will gradually ease for you

ps, it might help to pop a little info in your profile, easy to do, click on your user name, it then says edit my profile, type away and then hit save. That helps anyone answering you, they won’t need to ask you questions.

Thankyou I knew it would take a while to heal but didn't really know how long,I feel better already thanks again hugs xx
I think I was a good few months down the line before I saw the prosthetic lady, I had a mx with implant but there was always going to be a flattish area, due to previous surgery. I have a ‘chicken fillet’ for use if I haven’t got a padded bra!
Glad I’ve helped a bit!
