Hey, so 3 years after a pathological complete response following a Her 2 diagnosis, it's back! I had chemo, (TCHP) a mastectomy and radiotherapy and it's back. This is a complete blow and I'm devastated. This morning going to my appointment I thought I was going to pass out, felt so frightened. I have young children and trying to hold it together but a recurrence isn't good. About 2 percent I think. Anyone else had this? xx

  • Hi , I am so sorry you find yourself back in this situation, life can be so cruel sometimes.  Is it back in the same breast or in the other one.

You beat this once so hang in there and chances are hopefully good that you beat it again.

    Sending big hugs x

Thankyou, I had a mastectomy and it's back underneath the scar and in chest nodes, needing a further PET scan, just can't stop shaking with worry xx

So sorry to hear your awful news. No wonder you are so frightened. I have just done the chemo and mastectomy for her2 positive so completely get why you feel like you do. Godwilling has a good point that you were strong enough to beat it once and can do it again. Best wishes xx

I have to have radiotherapy but only for a week and six months targeted treatment and a year and half left of bone strengthening infusions but taking each day as it comes and not looking ahead or back which helps with anxiety. I really am sending hugs and care to you for the amount of treatment and beyond that you need xx

Thankyou so much! I wish you so much luck. I think mine is very unfortunate. My initial treatment was perfect. Lots of luck to you xx
