Hi everyone,

please could anyone recommend some seamless comfort bras? Since having radio I am getting very uncomfortable as areas are really sensitive. Any recommendations would be great, thank you xx

  • Hi GeeC I got some bras in Sainsburys called Lounging Bras [front fastening] and put a folded up silk scarf inside the cup between the irradiated boob and the bra. This was the only thing that I found comfortable. I could have done this in my normal bras, but had already got the soft ones.

    Best of luck

  • Hi GeeC , for my surgery recovery I bought Royce bras online, very good company. Perfect fit and would recommend. I used to put wee swab where scar was , underneath bra.

  • Another vote for m&s seamless bras, very comfy x

  • I ended up getting front fastening sports type bras from Amazon at a reasonable price which I still wear now as I really like them! My scar was upper middle though near my cleavage, so I didn't have too much pressing down on it.  There's loads of different styles on Amazon if you don't want to go to the shops (although I'm sure you could order M&S online!)

I found radiotherapy a bit uncomfortable at times too with a slight redness and ended up not wearing a bra for some of that time which worked well, but I am small chested. I didn't want anything to rub at the skin

  • I bought the M&S post surgery bras - they are very soft and comfy. I wear them at night too.

  • Hi

i have suffered quite a lot with seams digging in my swollen breast.

I had radiotherapy following chemo and lumpectomy.  The radiotherapy has left me very swollen and still suffering even though I had my last session on 6th May so a good few months later!

I found soft cup non wired bras from M&S are best for me as the post surgery bras have seams for the prosthesis and the seams dig in.

I have also purchased a few sleep bras from M&S which I think are amazing!  Look very weird but support my my rather large breasts when tossing and turning at night.

I often wear them through the day too!

  • Sloggi Zéro Feel bras available from M&S online or any Sloggi stockist.  No seams and very soft.
