Thanks, I have been knitting since I was around 10 or 11 by time I was 16 could knit from a pattern.

There are plenty of tutorials on internet to follow and if you do plain knitting its fairly easy to follow if you wanted to try.

I love crochet but have never managed to get my head around it.

  • That is lovely! Us girls were taught to knit and sew at primary school (back in the days of “inequality” Wink) By the time I was a teenager I could follow a pattern. Over the years I’ve knitted baby matinee sets to Aran, Fair Isle and Icelandic jumpers. I find the price of wool now quite shocking but nothing beats hand made and made with love Heartpulse

I didnt learn at school we only did sewing and cookery my nan taught me the basics and then I picked up working from patterns with a little help from my mum.

Totally agree about the price of wool though it can be very expensive to knit for adults now but it is more personal and definitely made with love
