Hi ladies I am new here I have a question I am on my 5 taxol and carboplatin did last Thursday. From about Wednesday this week the infected breast is swollen and painful. Is this something normal?
Hi CandyG welcome to the forum. It doesnt sound right to me but I feel that someone who knows you needs to have a look at this for you say maybe the Chemo Unit or the Breast Nurse. Is it hot to touch? Because if it is, and with the other two symptoms, then that would make me think infection and that needs treated asap with Anti-biotics. Do they have an out of hours number for the chemo unit that you can call to ask for advice re this. xxx
We are not that lucky in Barbados to have medical facilities to call. The pain is not that bad this morning so I will give it till Monday then call my surgeon
