A friend told me about this UK charity for women with breast cancer and I thought some of you might be interested too.  Volunteers make knitted or crocheted breasts to your requirements.   It's a great service with a choice of sizes, colours and even with or without nipples.  They are free to order, but donations would of course be welcome. This is the website https://www.knittedknockersuk.com -  do take a look and see if they offer something that could help you if you've had a mastectomy or reduction .

The charity has assured me that they are happy for me to post their info here Relaxed

  • Hi Jo789 welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing. This is something that I have heard of before and it looks great and another option for women looking for a prosthesis that feels like the real thing being soft. I believe that the site is run by Volunteers who do all the knitting and what a novel way to offer something different but another  choice for women..

Thanks for highlighting this charity. I placed my order just over a week ago and it arrived yesterday, all packed in a lovely gift bag with a hand written note from my knitter, brought a smile to my face during a tough week Heart

  • They are lovely, and as well as the standard on they also do a swim one which is great. I've worn it in my swimsuit this year for 2 weeks in Spain and last year for a n11 day holiday. I did sew the removable pad onto the fromt for more shape, but they pop out to dry after washing the tankini or swimsuit.

I ordered 1of these along with 1 for the water. They are so beautifully knitted and delivered in lovely packaging along with additional filling should it be required. It has certainly given me and my family a ew laughs, the thought of my knitted knocker floating away of its own accord and me having to shout “hey can I have my boob back please” . It has ,lightened what we all know is a serious issue for us all. I was happy to give them a donation, my way of giving back to others in the same situation.  Such a beautiful idea, whoever thought of it, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
