Can't sleep. 2 weeks post op. They didn't get it all and want to do a ct scan in case it has spread so worried

  • Sorry to hear this!! Our minds run away with us don't they. You are bound to be worried, and its easier said than done to stay positive. You have to think, you are with the best nurses and drs, who know their stuff, you've been through the hard bit and you might need to do just a bit more to make sure!! You've got this!! Take deep breaths, or shout scream and cry, if that makes you feel better too. I hit rock bottom on Wednesday and sobbed all day. You will be absolutely fine!! Sending big hugs to you x

  • Hi

Sorry you have got this result - 20% of cases there is no clear margin , so it’s not uncommon (I had the same myself) Depending on what they have found means plans often change ,particularly after surgery, I am not sure why the specialists don’t make that clearer, as it can come as such a shock. Many women have CT scans , and it seems to be more common recently , and it will be to ensure that they tailor the treatment to you now that they have a better pathology and can get a better look at your own particular case.

I know this won’t stop you worrying , but hopefully will reassure you a little.

    Jo x

Thank you so much. I have been screaming in between crying

  • I know exactly how you feel!! It's like you go through every emotion, some I didn't know I had!! If you have to scream, shout, sob, then feel numb. It's all completely normal, plus everyone is different in how they cope with things. Some of my friends have coped amazing, and just think, right, let's do this. I, at times, have completely fallen apart!! Sending big hugs!! We will all get through this!! X
