Due to start chemo this Friday, daughter has tested positive to COVID.
What happens now?
I'm not an expert but seen you had no replies. Does she live with you? Have you been vaccinated? Suspect the first thing is a call to breast nurse or oncology team to see what they want to do as it does depend on hospital etc. Hope it gets sorted. x
She does live with us, have been told that chemo will have to b rescheduled. She’s hot and coughing. Stress levels are through the roof.
worried about further delay
thanks for replying
Sorry to hear that but as its 10 days isolation and your chemo is this Friday - you would only have a delay of about a week obviously it depends on how busy the hospital is. Better that germs are gone which means you are less likely to catch something. It can be stressful but its not in your control so I know its hard but try not to worry. Concentrate on better things. Hopefully you'll get some revised dates soon. good luck x
