I had a mastectomy 6 weeks ago and have read that silicone stripe or gel are good for reducing scars. Does anyone have any experience of using these and can recommend or otherwise? Can I get these from my GP on prescription?
I’m not sure but would be interested to hear of something to use. I’m one week over mine. Can’t take dressing off until tomorrow! And shower at last! I had read bio oil but interested to hear of anything else. X
Not a mastectomy scar but my husband is using the silicone strips after a knee operation and the scar is definitely flatter. I’m waiting for a double mastectomy, will be asking if I can try these.
