Personally I find keeping busy, going for walks and not dwelling on it helpful.  I'm on tamoxifen (I was diagnosed in December 2020) so I feel confident that at least for the next five years all will be well.  

After that if it comes back I figure I just go through the same process again and get it removed.  I will pay more attention to examining my breasts and as soon as I notice any sort of change I will get it looked at.

Somebody on my medical team told me that for the vast majority of us it never returns, it just seems like reoccurrence is more common because those are the stories you tend to hear about and remember.

Today I can shower for the first time in over a week! And look at my scar. Little bit daunting but another baby step. A trip to the hairdresser later will hopefully make me feel more like myself!
