Hi everyone I'm in the 2 week wait of my results and I just feel in limbo! I'm a self employed mobile hairdresser I'm currently working as I need normality even though my head is spinning, but people are asking to book future appointments and I just don't know what to do? I don't know if I'm going to still be able to work? And I don't want to tell anyone anything untill I know what is happening myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated xxx

  • Hi DBL welcome to the forum and sorry to hear how worried that you are and understandably so.

The waiting around for results is the pits but sadly completely outwith our control. However when you get these results you will be in a much better position to know what it is that  you are delaing with and exactly how this will affect you and your type of work.

You could give the Macmillan Line a call when you know the results and see if there are any benefits that you would be able to claim should you need to be absent from work. 08088080000.

  • As a mobile hairdresser I'm sure your clients are comfortable with you and care about you.  Go ahead and book them and I'm sure they will understand if you have to cancel or rearrange if you have appointments.  Once you get results you'll have an idea of treatment plan.  I had surgery followed by radiotherapy as I didn't require chemo.  Physically I could have worked, mentally not so much but we are all different x
