Hi there I have HER2 Positive breast cancer and had 2 lumpectomies procedures the first biopsy came back with residual cancer cells but the second biopsy came back clear which was a relief. I had my chemo before surgery due to having my 3rd lot of brain surgery last sept for aneurysms. My first round of chemo was really harsh and I suffered viral infections and sever weight loss and was really depressed. Since the. I have started counselling and fortisip nutritional supplement drinks but was crushed to learn I need to have a further more 12 cycles of Kadcyla and Letrozole for 5 years. I had my first cycle 8 days ago and have been exhausted and emotional since 2 days after. I am hoping it’s due to my hormones and fear of more chemo and after a couple of months it will get easier. I’m happy to say it’s nowhere near as bad as before but I’m reading lots of posts where others on these meds are having no side effects and wondered if there was anyone else on here who has had similar side effects and did they subside after a few cycles. Also I am thinking the trauma of learning more chemo and the weight loss has contributed to the anxiety fatigue and my emotional state. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
