Body odour after op

Hi everyone!

I had a lumpectomy and 2 nodes removed 13 months ago. The past 2 months I have been having odour in my underarm where I had the nodes removed. I wake up with it. Wash and a few hours later it's back. I don't really sweat and I've never had it before. Anyone else had this or have any advice.

Hello Gaillou, this older thread (below) mentions a smell in one armpit after lymph node surgery, and when I had my surgery there was quite a strong smell but it only lasted a short while. As this hasn't happened to you previously it's probably best to speak to your nurse about it, just in case there is an infection. Hope you get it sorted as it isn't nice to have.

Hey I had my op 2 weeks ago and I honestly thought as much as it hurts least it’s doesn’t smell.. oh so wrong

I used plain baby oil that seems to suck up all the smell xx
