Dear All,

Just a question: how long was your recovery period from the operation.

I had 8,5 hours double brest reconstruction operation not too long time ago...

Still have pain...and I can't walk properly, because my skin on my belly is painful +

very often I'm on the bad mood and I can't sleep well.

Any other experiences ? Please, write to me.

Thank you very much,

Best wishes and quick recovery for all ladies.

Jeee

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

Although I can't answer your question I noticed that you hadn't had any replies yet. This is possibly because this is such an active group that your post has fallen off the first page before someone with the right experience has seen it. Replying to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.

While you're waiting for replies if you type 'double breast reconstruction' into the search bar at the top of the page it will bring up lots of previous posts on this topic. You could have a read through some of them and reply to any of the more recent posts if you think the poster can help you further.

    Wishing you all the best

  • hi I’m 3 weeks 2 days post op on both boobies, 1 had lumpectomy and sentinol removal but Just a mammoplasty On the other ( was worried i was going through Something I didn’t need too but glad I did as boobs would have looked different)

Feeling very tired no get up and go but getting better each day, had drains removed After a week which was heaven as in so much discomfort so each day after that I have picked up.

Start day ok but boobies  seem to swell up and get more discomfort as days goes on, nipples are constantly hard so sore.

After op was on Pain killers every 4 hours and needed them, now down to maybe 2 tablets a day, as said feel better each day you will get there.

    hope info helps
