Hello everyone.

Can anyone tell me where I can get another mastectomy pillow.

I had one given to me while I was in hospital after my mastectomy in 2006.

I feel blessed to have recovered from BC as I am now nearly 15 years post Breast Cancer and mastectomy surgery.

I have used my mastectomy pillow daily since 2006 as I had node clearance and still suffer from discomfort in my arm when sleeping and the pillow really helps me get comfortable. However after many repairs the pillow is now past repair and I have been wondering how to get a new one.

These pillows are amazingly helpful to post mastectomy surgery and bring great comfort even 15 years post surgery.

At 65 years old I am blessed to continue to be a BC survivor.

If anyone has advice about how to  get a new pillow to replace my worn out one I would appreciate it.

Wishing everyone good recovery. Thinking of you all. Heart

  • Hi Yesnik welcome to the forum. Im assuming  that you mean a V shaped pillow? These can be purchased off the Internet or at any of the stores selling bed linen etc such as Dunelm or Asda.

    Thanks for the advice. Blush

  • Hi, I’ve recently purchased from cancer research uk, I notice they also have them on Amazon.

Continued good health to you x

  • Try Jens friends on face book, just got one for my daughter she loves i,

They are no charge just pay postage, craft ladies make them.

    Hope this helps

  • Thanks for the tips, I've never paid attention to v-shaped pillows. More precisely, no one advised me to use one, and I wasn't looking for anything similar. Every year I cling to my comfort more and more, and now such little things are important to me. I won't sleep without my favorite bedding set from bamboobedsheets.net on my bed. I won't eat with a large fork because I'm used to eating food in small pieces. Hopefully, this pillow will give me the comfort I'm looking for.

  • I received a free pillow from a charity a relative told me about, called pillow pals. It came with a lovely message and a packet of love hearts! It has been a godsend  after the removal of my right breast and a sentinel lymph node biopsy which left me very lumpy! Actually it would be simple to sew yourself if you cut a pattern off your old one, using any fabric you have available,  e.g. an item of clothing you have discarded. You could stuff it with old tights or wadding which is cheap to buy! Good luck!
