Hi, had a mastectomy and reconstruction 6 weeks ago. Swelling and bruising has pretty much gone now, but feeling the implant tonight it feels slightly hard on the side, has anyone else experienced this? I don’t know what is suppose to feel normal

I was referred from one consultant as he only did mastectomy/lumpectomy on 16 April to another consultant on the 20 April and had my operation 5 May. My original diagnosis was 18 March. As LJsy says it’s fantastic what they can do. Xx

  • Hopefully not to long now, can I ask your diagnosis pls, have you had your results after, sending hugs, thank you for you comment xxx

25mm area invasive ductal Breast cancer also an area of 15 mm not sure what this was so had MRI. MRI showed possible multi focal 35 - 40mm in size so changed from lumpectomy to mastectomy. Lymph glands looked clear. Told it was grade 2. After operation went back for results. Lump 19mm grade 1 and nothing in lymph glands. No more treatment apart from tamoxifen for 5 years. I feel so lucky. Take one day at a time. Xx
