Breast referral appointment today

Hey, I had a breast referral appointment today. Dr had referred me due to possible symptoms of pagets and family history of same. Went today and they were lovely, little surprised that consultant said immediately that not pagets. Did mammogram, clear. Ultrasound showed something behind nipple, they aspirated and some fluid came out but was thick and bloodstained and they looked worried. She put on slide, said they would have look at it and to come back in half an hour. When I went back they said they thought benign and would review me in 3 months. Good news but i didn't ask any questions and now I'm wondering will that get sent to lab too or is that end of it for now? Xxx

Hi Beary53 welcome to the forum I had to read your post a couple of times to check that I was giving you the right response to your query so hopefully it makes sense for you.

Clear Mammogram Good news.

Ultrasound showed something and biopsy taken. Examined under a microscope I would imagine and result comes back as benign. Im not sure if they would send to the lab or not as they seem certain of the benign nature of the fluid.

Given all that I imagine that they will recall you again in 3 months time and review the situation unless something else is picked up by you before then if that makes sense. xxxx

Hi granny59, thank you so much for replying . Yes that makes perfect sense, I was just feeling a bit bewildered even though it seemed to be good news and literally didn't ask anything. Not like me
