Hi All

newly diagnosed and wonder if anyone in the same boat. chemo first will allow other drugs to be available and as I am young they don’t see why it won’t work, although my cancer now stretches 8cms (!) it so far is showing no signs of spreading anywhere else thankfully. I have had my lump since November but because I am young I was overlooked twice by GPs.

unsure of others’ ages but I was given the option to freeze my eggs as being put into menopause to stop oestrogen. Unfortunately it is a fast growing cancer and I have had the lump for months now so we have chosen to press ahead with treatment instead of delaying it. Is anyone else in the same boat?

also has anyone had her2+ chemo and can tell me what to expect? I am due 6 rounds and then possible lumpectomy or masectomy xxx

Although I don't have the same cancer as you I know a cancer diagnosis brings many questions, confusion and lots of stress but talking with other people who are walking the same type of journey will help you navigate this rollercoaster.

I see you have already joined our Breast Cancer forum so I'm sure someone will be along soon to answer your post.

When you have a minute, it would be helpful if you could pop something about your  journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. You can update it at any time and if you're not sure what you should write have a quick look at mine by clicking on my username.

It’s always good to talk and the Macmillan Support Services provides lots of information, support, financial guidance or just a listening ear.
