Hi, I have been told that they are going to give me TC chemo.  I was wondering about experiences anyone had had with this combination - good or bad.  I like to prepare for the worst sid effects so anything else is a bonus!  I was hoping to have the cold ca as I used that 8 years ago and although I lost some hair I pretty much maintained it.  I was absolutely gutted when I was told that due to Covid they will not let me have it as they want everyone in and out.  I even asled if there was something portable that I could buy so doesnt extend my time on the unit.  If anyone knows of such a thing please, please let me know - will probably start another thread on the cold cap part.

Thanks

  • Hi

I don't have any experience with TC chemo (docetaxel and cyclophosphamide) but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. This is possibly because this is such a busy group that your post has slipped off the first page before anyone with the right experience has seen it. By replying to you it will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussions list.

While you're waiting for replies if you type 'docetaxel' and 'cyclophosphamide' into the group's search bar you'll find plenty of previous posts which mention these drugs. You could have a read through the more recent ones and reply to any of the posters if you think they might be able to help you further.

When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Wishing you all the best with your upcoming treatment.
