Hi   April 2016 at 42 i was diagnosed with grade 3 her2 positive Breast cancer   Lump was removed and then chemo, radiotherapy followed by 18 months of herceptin.  I just wanted to ask if anyone else has any issues with their back/neck/arms.  I currently have periodic pain in my back and neck,  both elbows are so sore, i have been diagnosed with carpel tunnel and my hands hurt. I have been to chiropractor several times over the past couple of years but no real improvement.  Just so bored or being in pain and feeling like i sm 90 ever since 2016

  • Hi

I can certainly understand how horrible it must be to be in pain all the time. Have you spoken to your BCN about this?

  • Hey! I was diagnosed in June 2018 at the age of 50. Well I have since had ongoing issues particularly with my shoulder on the side of the mastectomy....MRI scan last year and a couple of cortisone injections helped for a while....but I have now had pains down my arm...not all the time but it hurts when it’s there! Now had another mri on shoulder and neck. Surgeon thinks it might be my neck that’s the issue but the type of pain I describe doesn’t ‘fit’! Not sure what is going to happen next! I feel like an old woman too....I take letrozole so joints ache....doubled with the whole neck and shoulder pain....I feel about knackered! I get cross as I feel I have aged so much. I am an active, relatively fit person but spend most my time hobbling around! Pissed off sort of goes some way to describe how I feel!

Not sure I can help....but you aren’t alone!
