Hi all, I’m currently receiving radiotherapy and I’m also on letrozole and having zoladex injections 4 weekly I keep having low temperature readings we check everyone together in our house regularly as my husband is in the shielding group for Covid there’s are fine but I’ve noticed over the last few days I have a really low temperature at times it’s currently 34.7 yesterday I had readings of 35.2 but it also fluctuates throughout the day and night is this normal for the treatment I’m on or do I need to mention it to my bc nurse or GP sorry for the long post xx

  • Hi , I haven’t heard of this during radiotherapy or as a side effect of your medication (I’m on Anastrozole which is similar to letrozole). I think you should tell someone - any of the medics you’ve mentioned - if only because ‘better safe than sorry’. Particularly as your whole family is taking temperatures so it’s definitely not just a dodgy thermometer! I don’t know the significance of a low temperature but I just think anything unusual should be mentioned.
Hope you get some answers today, let us know how you get on. Have you many days left of radiotherapy?
Another suggestion - but in addition to contacting your GP/ bc team today - you could post a question on Ask a Nurse here?
    Love and hugs, HFxx
