Hello,

Does anyone else suffer from pain in their breast? I’m triple negative grade 3. My tumour is around 6cm and has been causing quite sharp pains over the last few days. From what I’ve read pain in the breast is not a common symptom.

I’ve had 2 rounds of EC but as the tumour has not responded I’m switching to paclitaxel and carboplatin next week.

thanks

Karen

I had pain, thats what I first noticed, I think some people do not get pain and some do. I have had an MX first, Chemo in Feb. I hope everything goes well for you. Will you have MX after chemo?

  • Hello Lancastrian,

I'm also 51 and diagnosed just yesterday.   I do have some mild breast pain/discomfort thinking back on it but wasn't something i noticed before.  Thought it was all just hormonal.  Now i can't tell what pain is from the biopsy and what is not.  Hope you are doing ok and it all goes well for you.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes I was sore after the biopsy too. Hope all goes well for you too.

  • I had 3 biopsies done 3 weeks ago at the same time as my mammogram, scan and diagnosis. I keep getting pain in my breast. It wasn't there before the biopsies. I'm convinced it is where 'markers' were put in. I could be wrong!

Hi Eiluj, I have a marker in my other breast which has been fine, but the biopsies did leave me sore for quite a while. Good luck with your treatment! xx

  • Thank you. I did think it could have been from the biopsies.

I start chemo on Wednesday. 6 rounds of EC at 3 weekly intervals followed by surgery at some point. I'm Her2+ so adding Herceptin after 3rd round. I was of the impression it would just be added to the chemo drugs but reading some posts on here it sounds like I could be wrong! X x
