Hi
had lumpectomy over 7 weeks ago , due to start chemo on 19 th September followed by radiotherapy (her2+) last 2 weeks scar tissue got really hard and wasn’t just around scar, phoned bc nurse who said probably a seranoma and not to worry but also got severe bruising around nipple , approximately over an inch long , as one bruise goes another comes and it is very tender , not hot or anything lumpectomy was about an inch higher than nipple and nowhere near the bruising - is this normal?
Hi Kiradun welcome to the forum. So glad to hear that the surgery is past for you.
If this is a seroma then if could need drained, although sounds like the bruising could be the seroma has burst and the bruising is the result but Im not sure on that one. What you really need is to have someone to take a look at this for you and whilst I know the current climate is strange and things in the NHS are strange as well , it would be good for you to get some re-assurance.
