Hi everyone.

I've recently had a bone scan as since being on tamoxifen I've had bone pain in various areas. The scan picked up I have an unusual hotspot on my shoulder blade the side of my mastectomy.  The doctor said it's trauma or cancer although there not overconcerned . My lympth nodes were clear so has anyone heard of this as they said I need an mri scan ?

  • Odd that they didn't seem concerned if they didn't know what it was! Was it a nuclear bonne scan s they do pick up all sorts if things.  I had one a few weeks  after my mastectomy and thr whole area showed up as a bright rectangle.

When do you have the MRI scan? Hopefully not too long as consultants can really push through appointments.  Mine said she'd order an ultrasound on my PICC line arm and a heart scan when I had my phone appointment on Monday this week.  The ultrasound was this morning and the heart scan is tomorrow afternoon!
