Hi all. Im just after some advice if please.
I'm 51 and have suffered with breast lumps for about the last 7 years and when I get them checked im never worried as I just assume its another cyst which I have had plenty of and when I touch them they feel tender.
I found another lump last week that is pain free and also the breast looks different in shape than my other one I can only describe it as it looks like it hangs down more than the other one :). I rang the doctors on Monday and the doctor saw me that day and I now have an appointment on Tuesday at the breast clinic which is good as not long to wait. I guess im asking for peoples opinion. Is there anyone on here that previously suffered with breasr cysts and that awful time that it wasn't did you suspect as something wasn't quite the same as the previous time. Sorry if I'm rambling I don't want to talk about it to my partner and daughter as they will only worry.
Take care all
Hi 50Something, oh more waiting and worrying.... It’s horrible being caught off guard and wishing you’d asked more questions. I guess you know now that it’s not likely just to be a cyst as it sounds like you’d have just had a phone call to tell you that. But I wouldn’t jump the gun and assume that it must be cancer either. Sounds like it does need more investigations but that doesn’t rule out something benign. I think you’ll have to try to go back into busy mode and somehow keep yourself occupied with other stuff till Tuesday. So sorry you have another tortuous wait.
And thanks for your good wishes, I’ve been out walking with a friend for much of the day, definitely my sanity saver! And a glorious day for it here. HFxx
Thanks Eyesup. Firstly I hope your recovery is going well and your resting.
Yes I have my partner and 2 grown up kids, well hardly kids one of them has two children of his own, my lovely granddaughters. I also have a good family around me so I will never be alone. They all know what's going on now and are understandably worried, i did think twice about telling them but I knew they wouldn't be happy if I had kept it from them. Im trying to stay positive and keep myself busy, there is nothing I can do to make Tuesday come any quicker so like you say one day at a time.

Hi happy feet.
Definitely a lovely day to be out and about, nice weather and good company out in the fresh air sounds perfect to me.
Your right im sure it can be any number of things I just wish I had some idea of what it was but like you say back into busy mode and hopefully the days will go quicker. Im a driving instructor I've got a busy day tomorrow and Monday and I need full concentration for that so hopefully work will take my mind off it and I'm sure I can keep myself occupied over the weekend. It's just those pesky nights when the lights go out and your brain turns on. But whatever Tuesday brings I will deal with you. Have a lovely weekend, and take care xx
