Tamoxifen hot flushes!

Hi everyone i wondered if anyone knows how long these hot flushes last while on Tamoxifen? Do they settle down after months or even years, or do they just keep coming the whole time you are taking it? I never used to be a sweaty person and I'm finding it really difficult to manage in this heat!!!! Thanks, Jess

I started taking Tamoxifen nearly 12 months ago.

I’m 51 next week.

I went to hospital today with my hubby (who was diagnosed with tonsil cancer at the same time as my breast cancer) and I had to leave as I failed the temperature test. My temp was 37.7.

I have been a soggy, boiling hot mess since I started on Tamoxifen. I’m now worried I won’t be allowed to get on the plane to Corfu next. On the if they take my temperature!

Sorry I don’t know how long this lasts but I a, responding as I sympathise greatly with you.

Hubby - Left tonsil squamous cell carcinoma P16 positive with neck nodes T1N1M0 - 30 fractions of radiotherapy and 6 weeks of chemotherapy, Cisplatin in December / January 2019/20

Me - Invasive lobular breast cancer - Grade 2, Stage 2 - mastectomy October 2019 - 15 fractions of radiotherapy December / January 2019/20
