Hi
I went for a routine mamagram 8th Feb and on 25th I was diagnosed with breast cancer, has anybody else got this type of breast cancer and what are your experiences?
Many thanks
Hi Wayla welcome to the forum and good for you on going for the screening, which like mine has picked up Breast Cancer and without the screening I wouldn't have known mine was there, Mine was Lobular so different from yours but there are others on here who have had this type of Breast Cancer same as you. You dont say whether you have had any treatment yet or are you still waiting with all this Covid.xxx
Hi @Wayla. In 2015 I had my first routine screening mamogram and was recalled for two areas of concern 10mm & 5mm. Diagnosed 3/6/2015 with DCIS.in the larger area only.
I had surgery in July (WLE also called lumpectomy) to top upper left quadrant and have a small dent there. In September I had 15 sessions of radiotherapy. Since then it's just been annual mammograms - waiting for year 5 appointment letter to drop through the door.
If you click on my name it shoudl take you to my profile which has my full journey since then..
Have they given you a treatment plan yet?
