Any one else suffer UTI’s while on this chemo ?
Hi Kimbo56
I have not had a UTI but I do feel on day 2 post Paclitaxel that I am going to get one . Now on 12 th dose and day 2 and again have drunk loads of water and have pain as if going to develop UTI . If this is like previous episodes, I will continue to drink water in huge amounts and lower urinary tract pain will continue for the day but never get pain on passing urine and then it will go away . Also have a heavy dragging feeling that makes me think I’m going to have a prolapse! Fortunately all still intact and as I’ve had my last Paclitaxel I’m happy to hopefully see the end of this particular side effect!

Thanks for replying. My treatment has been EC 4cycles 3 weekly, then PAC 4cycles 2weekly.
I was admitted to A+E after 2nd EC With temp and rash and was diagnosed with UTI so cycles 3/4 were reduced. Then again UTI diagnosed on day of cycle 3 of PAC, then 2 days after 5 days of anti bots the burning returned. More anti bots prescribed and cycle 7 cancelled to this and fuzzy fingers and toes. It’s now 2 weeks after last Cycle and the burning has gone but now having another water sample tested as a lot of blood being past. GP has suggested the bacteria infection has cleared and hoping the blood is just due to chemo side effects.
Well done on getting to the end Moppers x
