Lumpectomy surgery

Hi Gina62 welcome to the forum and so glad that at least part of the treatment is past for you.

I have what feels like a thick worm type area on the breast I had my Lumpectomy on and its directly under the scar of the area so I have had that checked out and it is scar tissue which is part of the healing process. 

Is this lump you are feeling anywhere near the scar or where the lump was?

Hi I had therapeutic mammoplasty to remove my tumour in February and i also have a small hard little lump near my scar line and also hard tissue where the tumour was. I’m due my last chemo on Tuesday then fast track radiotherapy 

Mine are about a inch away not on the incision. x

The best advice I can give you is to contact your breast care nurse / hospital again and explain your concerns. All may well be normal healing process but until it is looked at sooner rather than later you will be worrying- hence coming on this wonderful and supportive group. Pleas e contact them and hopefully they will be able to advise you accordingly - your boob and the surgery you had are very individual ! I was told when they disturb breast tissue it can cause hardening. Is the lump where the tumour was?

Thanks for your reply, yes I contacted the nurse she said not to worry as its still early days, I am due to see the Oncologist on the 27th so I will get it checked x

Hi Gina62 how did you get on with your oncologist re your bean shaped lump? 

Hi I am having a mammogram scan on Monday I have a few lumps, they are checking them out before I continue with treatment the following day. x
