Burning itchy legs

Good afternoon,

Today my lower legs feel like they are on fire.  This hasn't happened before,  and although I had 7 weekly Paclitaxel (after 4 EC)  I finished 6 months ago.  I'm also on Letrozole now, but taking 1/2 tablet daily,  alternating Accord and Femara as they have different side effects.

Could this be delayed from the chemo, a combination of chemo and Letrozole or the  Letrozole? My arms are a little but hot and itchy too, but I've had to lie down and keep soaking my lower legs:(  The letrozole does cause my legs to swell slightly...

  • HI

Bumping this as I can't help (sorry), but hopefully someone is around now who can help.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks.  They're better today,  so I think that it was heat and letrozole causing it,  as it makes my legs swell. Not nice at all though!

  • Hello,

I've only just seen your post.  I wonder, with the weather we have had, I can't help but wonder ..... could you have had 'prickly heat'.

Many years ago (before all this) I had prickly heat once, thankfully only once.  We were half way through our holiday in Spain.  We'd had breakfast and went to lie out in the sun ..... alter in the afternoon my chest just itched and itched and itched. My only comfort was lying in the bath - so that the water covered me.  Everything I got out it started again, eventually after a few hours this stopped. ....

The next day went in the sun and as soon as the sun hit my chest the itching started again.

I spent the rest of the holiday hiding from the sun or at best just my legs exposed.

I wonder if due to the heat you could have had this.

Either way, I'm glad it's now cleared up.

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
