I think night time is horrible I’m waiting for biopsy results even though the doctor has said I have a tumour, I can’t get out of my head when she said don’t come on your own next time, and the nurse saying we have to prepare you and you have to prepare your grown up children, I think now I’m in disbelief maybe it’s all wrong sorry to go on I just feel so sick xx

I had opposite at biopsy that 99% sure it wasn't anything it be concerned about! I still assumed the worse but once they gave me outline treatment plan and their confidence it was treatable I felt better. My daughter was away in uni so only told her after I had biopsy result.

sorry you feeling miserable the waiting is the worst . The advice to bring someone is because you need someone to listen for you cos you’re your brain overloaded . If you go on the awake thread the are usually people you can chat to . Sorry I need to sleep

Night time is the worst, our brains start going on overdrive, with so many "what if's" - please try to push any thoughts out of your mind for the time been, no matter how much you think and stress yourself out, you will not come up with any answers - you will just tire yourself out. As for saying you have to prepare your grown up children..... we all think differently, but, for me, I would be saying 'find out what is going on first, what your treatment plan is' and then decide who you want to tell or for that matter if you want to tell anyone, it is your choice.
Like both Northerner and Grogg have said the "AWAKE" thread is brilliant - many of us are in and out of their most of the night and the day for that matter, whatever is bothering you pop in there and someone will be about at some point to offer help or advice, we even have a laugh or two.
You will get thought this, you will. It is very early days - have a look online for... I can't think what they are called, breathing exercises, mind space (I think that is the one I tried and used during my waiting time) - the waiting really is the worse part, once you know what is what, you will feel so much better. You are at the worse part 'now' you really are - you will get though this - plus now you have found this forum - you will get so much support and help from real people that actually understand what you are going though and how you actually feel.
