I have Netflix and Prime but struggle to find a film to watch that's not violent or stupidly funny - not a comedy fan!  So thought I'd start this thread.  Two easy to watch films.

The professor & the madman.
Professor James Murray begins work compiling words for the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary in the mid-19th century, and receives over 10,000 entries from a patient at Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum, Dr. William

Housewife 49

Nella Last is a downtrodden wife and mother whose life dramatically improves with the outbreak of war. A new world opens up to her as she gets involved with the Women's Voluntary Service, helping her to forget her marital difficulties and the absence of her beloved son.  Based on a true story

    Hi Grogg

I've watched the Professor and the madman four times and that's really great and interesting it also inspired me to have a presentation about it while I were at school

The sun is also a star was a great movie I watched a few months ago as well as reading the book which was great

    I really recommend it

And thanks for your recommendation I'll watch it for sure as I love movies that they are based on a true story

    Have a very nice night

I was tempted to go the NETFLIX route at the beginning of the lockdown, but the catch channels are brilliant AND free.  Currently watching Spooks,  Waking the Dead and Ashes to ashes along with Still open all hours and Ghosts on iplayer. My 5 has some real gems available that didn't make the schedule originally
