Hi all

this may seem a bit weird , but I had my final breast implant inserted ( after having the expander) in November last year ... as I was feeling to tired etc I decided to take up some exercise which involved lifting 5kg dumbbells ... this seems to have affected my implant and now it has moved ... There’s a lot at the top but on the right hand side it looks like it’s just fluid ....

im going to have it looked at on Monday ( it’s annoying rather than painful, not hot or red either ) anyone else experienced anything like this happening ? If so what did you have to have done ?

thanks as always Relaxed

I can't help (sorry), but bumping your post back to the first page in case someone who can help has missed your question.

  • Hi

I had an implant in April 2017, but decided to have this changed for a Diep flap a year later - I ended up having the Diep surgery last December, 2019. I can't remember when but I started to feel that my implant had moved, it seemed to be slightly around the side so that when I had my arm by my side I could feel it - a very odd feeling. My implant also developed rippling across the top. When I had the op last year my surgeon said it was a good job I had had further surgery as the implant had rotated, I never followed up what this meant (I was too desperate to get out of hospital!) but it made sense. I don't have that feeling anymore, so it must have been the implant.

Not sure what they can do except remove the implant and replace it or offer you other reconstruction?

    Best wishes
