Hi all .
Well 48 hours in and am not grate feeling sick and a bit wobbly on my feet . Am taking the tablets for sickness am not vomiting put the feeling of wanting to be sick is still there. I have lost my appetite. If any one could tell me if this is all normal to put my mind at rest would be so nice as am doing this alone .
Hi
I had my first chemo on Tuesday and felt exactly the same as you do.
Was a tiny bit sick on Wed morning but perked up later in the day after going back to bed for a couple of hours after having a ginger biscuit, juice and tablets.
Yesterday, same again felt pretty sick all day but better later after going back for a few hours sleep.
Today up at 6am had a dry biscuit and managed a cup of tea, took anti sickness pill then back to bed for a few hours.
Drinking plenty of juice and had a bit of toast about 10am so far but not much appetite yet either.
You are not alone, think everyone is slightly different though I am starting to feel a bit more 'normal' this afternoon.
Hope this helps and it will pass for you too.

Hiya yes that is normal, unfortunately i didn't take my anti sickness tablets as i didn't feel sick then woosh!!! i learnt on my second treatment.
You don't say what chemo you are having i had FEC-T and found that first week really poopy, second week not as poopy and third week near enough back to normal ready to do it all over again.
I know you say you have lost your appetite but try to eat even if its only little but often, i found getting hungry made me feel even more sick. Find something you like and eat it lol i lived on cheesy garlic bread and chicken soup.
Make sure you come and ask questions, don't think any question is silly, believe me i've asked a few and always been surprised when i've had a response from someone else saying the same happened to them.
Take Care x
