Within 24hrs I was in A+E with fever and rash. Very scary as fever alert covid probability. Luckily fever dropped and UTI diagnosed but now I’m 2wk self isolating due to that.
im so scared for #3 chemo now and going into hospital again.
Hi Kimbo56 , could you contact your breast nurse and see if she could speak to your oncologist? They should have access to the tests run in A&E, and hopefully br able to reassure you. I ended up in A&E after every EC chemo, my temperature was 38.6(!) after the first one, and I had chest pain and palpitations after the other three. I didn't have a rash until the Paclitaxel though.
It must be scary having the chemo, but fingers crossed it will be fine (not that chemo is fine, but you know what I mean!)
Margaret x
Thank you replying Margaret
how awful for you, did they ever say why it caused such a temp. I really don’t want it happening at the moment as A+E are taking the covid route with fever.
I am due for pac too after the X4 EC
I get a fluttery pulsing feeling sometimes that wakes me, wondering if they are palpations.
I had a horrific rash and the cream from the chemo unit doctors made it worse. Suffered for 2 weeks unable to sleep in such discomfort. Called my GP in tears and he prescribed Elocon ointment. It was gone in 24 hours! wonder cream although very strong. Stay safe x
