I saw my oncologist today and asked if she can tell me more about my survival rate as a lot of medical staff say that my case is serious,advance etc. She used app called Predict Breast Cancer typed all my data and it showed that with all the treatment it's planed for me my survival for 5 years it's 70% 10 years 38% 15 years 21%. I am devastated .I have 2 kids and it's brake me to realise that I can be dead before there are 18. Feel really down right now
I totally agree with Puzzler, each is an individual, treatments are changing all the time, our bodies are all different, different illness experienced, medications, weight, height, where we live, maybe even mental attitude towards it, so much more needs to be considered.
Another thing to look at..... this is horrible to say, but, none of us know when 'it' could happen. There are families tonight where a loved one won't even arrive home. With this it opens up the mind to live as best you can, do what you want and enjoy life.
I think puzzlers post duplicated itself..... because what she wrote is right.

what the others have said is true . Never give up hope .
At my Aqua Aerobics class their are 2 ladies , one is 21 years since being diagnosed , the other 11 years - treatment wasn’t as advanced then as it us now , they lead full active lives . Another lady had a very rare leukaemia and was in hospital a year , she got arsenic therapy - as a last resort - 5 years ago and she has been given the all clear - she was hospitalised for a year receiving this “ new” therapy . Another man I know , got the all clear , then had recurrence but new therapy came about and also a new operating technic, he’s expected to make a full recovery and is busy planning his wedding . A work colleague has a rare cancer in her nasal passages that was operated on , found to be too close to a major blood vessel, she had chemo before the operation and is now on a new targeted therapy and living life well , this one is keeping the cancer stable and she is hoping for another targeted therapy soon , if this one should stop working . Thankfully for us the scientists never stop working and striving towards cures .
we lost a dear family friend last year , he went out in his car and had an accident and died instantly.
So life is so precious , we will always worry , it’s only natural but it’s true , today is the present , so open it and smile , hug your children and hug yourself .
go out and make memories with your family . Knowledge can be good but ignorance can be bliss . Your you knowledge so that no minute of any day will be wasted .
