Had a mastectomy in October 2017 . This month after a biopsy have been diagnosed with recurrence of Oestrogen Positive Receptor Breast cancer on lymph nodes near to previous mastectomy site.
I have been on Exemestane which obviously has not worked. Saw Consultant today and she has stated that best plan is for surgery to remove the affected lymph however issues is with blood clots which I have in both lungs so awaiting results from haematology regarding those.
she has made an appointment for me to see oncologist regarding changing from Exemestane to Fulvestrant injections. Had a look at Breast Cancer now site about Fulvestrant so now know a little more about it. No doubt someone on this site will have been on Fulvestrant so interested to see how they got on with the injections. At moment have to inject Tinzaparin every day into my stomach which is becoming rather bruised and sore.
I have been through the ringer last month awaiting scan results firstly to see if cancer had returned and then another to see if it had spread which thankfully was told today had not.

Sorry to hear that your cancer has returned.
It does perhaps seem that there isn't anyone with Fulvestrant injections. I wonder if the Ask an Expert section of this website would help to give you an idea of what to expect?
