Hiya - Sorry if this post isn't allowed.
I got diagnosed with Breast Cancer back in October. It was a MASSIVE shock.
A few weeks before finding this lump me and hubby had hoped to extend our family.
Its been on my mind since beinf diagnosed. Im currentlt under going chemotherapy...then will.have my surgery...then radiotherapy. Iv got a long journey ahead of me.
Last few days iv really felt low. Feel like this C has taken over my life.
I just was wondering if there was anyone who had breast cancer and went on to have a family after.
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry you find yourself with the awful C at any time but when you were looking to extend your family it's a double blow. Your post would be welcomed by people on this site who are keen on helping others. Unfortunately, it does take over your life and seems to be with you every waking hour but it does get better over a period of time, I'm now 18 months post diagnosis and I had some very low times and lots of others on here have too, its quite understandable after such a diagnosis and then the treatment to cope with as well.
I can't help you regarding conceiving following treatment but I'm pretty sure I've read post's where people have gone on to have babies post treatment. Hopefully someone will be along to answer your question. Have you spoken to your Team regarding this?
Best Wishes. xx
